About Joost Willemsen

Joost Willemsen is a Partner at Ó×Å®ÊÓƵ. His team provides end-to-end, technology-driven VAT compliance outsourcing services that help clients manage their UK or global VAT footprint.

After starting his career in the Netherlands in KPMGÓ×Å®ÊÓƵ™s international VAT team, Joost moved to the UK in 2018. He was tasked with driving KPMGÓ×Å®ÊÓƵ™s tax and VAT data analytics and reporting services, and supporting prestigious clients including HSBC, Blackrock and AT&T. Joost joined Ó×Å®ÊÓƵ in 2021 to lead the global VAT compliance team and hasnÓ×Å®ÊÓƵ™t looked back since.

Before joining Ó×Å®ÊÓƵ, Joost has worked in two Big 4 accounting firms as a specialist on the intersection between VAT advisory and indirect tax technology. He was responsible for leading indirect tax analytics and compliance engagements for a number of high-profile clients.

When asked what motivates him, Joost said:

In his spare time, Joost enjoys hiking with his wife and dogs.
